The Bookshelf carries over 80,000 paperback and hardcover books in both fiction and non-fiction, plus some out-of-print, collector, antiquarian books and currently published books. We also carry audio books on both cassette and CD.

We also have an extensive array of comics dating back to the 1940's and receive new comics on a weekly basis.

Bookshelf buys, sells and trades both books and comics.

We do buy books but are selective about what we purchase. Some books we are always buying include science-fiction, fantasy, mysteries, true crime paperbacks, Archie comics and digests and fiction first published in the past six months.

Please note that we are not purchasing any hardcover fiction at this time.

Bookshelf

Only managers can purchase books. Please call before you bring books in to ensure a manager will be in at that time. We purchase books for a percentage of what we would sell the books for. This percentage ranges between 10 to 30% depending on the author, condition, and popularity of there books.

We also purchase comics; the owner is the only person who deals with comics, however, so please call and speak to him before bringing any comics in. We are currently purchasing very few post-1960’s comics, with the exception of Archie comics and digests.

The Bookshelf offers a comic reserve service for Winnipeg and area residents.
